upGrad, a leading online higher education company in Asia, has reportedly joined forces with one of the oldest private universities in California, the Golden Gate University (GGU). The collaboration is done to launch 8 new online programs in law and management as part of its preliminary expansion phase.
Under this collaboration, students across geographies will be offered a scholarship of around $100 million. The partnership will open and deepen the accessibility of upGrad into the local markets of America while also enlarging its global program portfolio for students who are based out of diverse geographies.
In this curriculum, an in-depth subject understanding and industry projects will be offered, which intend to remain at par with the international market and industry requirements.
Other career service addition, including 1:1 mentorship, masterclasses, and coaching, has also been included in the program curriculum to offer outcome-driven and complete learning.
The Washington Monthly has graded Golden Gate University as America's #1 School for the fourth consecutive year for Adult Learners at 4-Year Colleges in its yearly College Guide and Rankings.
The Golden Gate University is also ranked in the Top 10% of US Colleges by several publications.
Phalgun Kompalli, Co-founder of UpGrad, said that with a combination of 8 online programs in phase 1, upGrad and GGU wish to take a varied route for building a mark with its learning content which is estimated to be rolled out overseas languages like Arabic, Bahasa, Vietnamese, and Spanish in the coming years.
Golden Gate University has a legacy of around 120+ years in helping working adults achieve their career goals. Keeping this notion in mind, the firm is pleased to be collaborating with GGU to offer universally credited, low-cost, high-quality degree programs to many learners globally.
