Accenture, one of the leading IT firms, has recently made it to the headlines following its plans of acquiring a cloud native product and platform engineering company, Imaginea for an undisclosed transaction deal.
It has been speculated that this acquisition deal would help Accenture move closer to its plans of supporting companies drive innovation via disruptive technologies to transform their business digitally and tap new opportunities.
For the record, Imaginea boasts of its expertise in using its world-class product and platform engineering skills. Reports have it that the acquisition is expected to add nearly 1,350 cloud professionals to Accenture, adding a highly skilled, full stack and cloud native engineering team with cloud data and cloud modernization skillsets across diverse platforms from Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
Speaking of the acquisition, Karthik Narain, the global lead for Accenture Cloud First, reportedly cited that this move would allow Imaginea to further strengthen the global competences of Accenture Cloud First.
While on the other hand, Kishore Durg, global lead for Accenture Cloud First Integrated Cloud Services, stated that acquisition of Imaginea is anticipated to bring the company an infusion of human resourcefulness, backed by cloud technologies.
He added that Imaginea stands to be noteworthy addition to Accenture, with immense knowledge across some of the leading cloud platforms. Moreover, it has also put the Accenture group in an even stronger position to accentuate the innovation across vivid industries, while also supporting it drive complex change and create a lasting value.
