Indian information security compliance startup, Scrut Automation recently announced that it has secured $3 million fund from Lightspeed and Endiya Partners.
According to the full-stack security compliance platform, it plans to use the fresh investment for expansion of Scrut’s operations in the U.S., Asia and European Union (EU) along with enhancing existing automobile capabilities and to build the largest information security (Infosec) resources marketplace.
Scrut Automation, founded by Aayush Ghosh Choudhury and Kush Kaushik in 2021, automates a large number of manually performed compliance tasks by leveraging most commonly applied cloud and SaaS (Software as a Service) tools.
With this, Scrut allows automatic collection of massive volumes of evidence artifacts unlike conventional methods which take more than a week to collect the data.
Co-founder and Chief Executive of Scrut, Aayush Ghosh Choudhury stated that the platform is focusing on integrating technology with human expertise to probe even the edge cases, which will ultimately take away majority of compliance-associated work from the CTO’s list of responsibilities.
Mr. Choudhury believes that this will help them focus primarily on growth and expansion of business rather than simply working on compliance tasks.
Credible sources have cited that information security compliance is likely to become one of the most fundamental tool in majority of software ecosystems with global end-user expenditure on information security and risk estimated to cross $220 billion in the coming 5 years.
Lightspeed partner, Dev Khare is optimistic of the recent backing provided to Scrut owing to their vast expertise acquired from more than 10 years of experience in the compliance management sector with more than 3,000 probes across every possible use case.
Scrut Automation is on a mission to create the biggest SaaS-driven marketplace for Infosec resources such as veterans, experts, auditors and penetration testers.
