Global PC and printer giant, Hewlett Packard (HP) has reportedly stepped up to combat the challenges faced by students in the remote learning phase with the novel launch of MediaTek-powered Chromebook 11a for a starting price of Rs. 21,999.
Speculations have it that the Chromebook poses a 11.6 inch HD touch display and is driven by the MediaTek MT8183 Octa-core mainframe. It boasts of bringing in the flexibility of digital learning into the hands of students so that they are able to participate in personalized and interactive learning during the distant learning era forcefully imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Official sources have put forth claims that the new HP Chromebook 11a comes with Google One that offer 100GB of cloud storage, access to Google professional for one full year, and several other exclusive membership benefits.
Moreover, availability of Google Assistant and access to more than 3 million applications in Google Play Store, make the product quite attractive for the students as well as educators.
Commenting on the roll-out, Senior Director, Personal Systems at HP India Market, Vickram Bedi, mentioned that with the rapidly transforming education landscape in India, it becomes highly essential for the company to arm students and educators with the right tools and technologies for hybrid and remote learning ecosystems.
Meanwhile, Ketan Patel, MD at HP India Market stated that the team at HP believes in creating a dynamic and engaging ecosystem of learning for its users. While the company is preparing the next-generation of technologies for the future, the introduction of new Chromebook 11a stands to be a step in the direction of building a bright technological future for lifelong learning.
On the other hand, General Manager of Intelligent Multimedia Business at MediaTek, PC Tseng cited that HP’s new Chromebook ushers in a new era of digital learning and computing.
For the record, the new HP Chromebook 11a offers a competitive price point with up to 16 hours of battery-life. The device is now available on Flipkart in indigo blue color with matching keyboard deck.
