May 19th to 31st marked yet another step forward in our quest to further consolidate and strengthen our resolved determination in building a solid, productive action plan in the field of Party to Party relationship, emphasizing on party cadres capacity building, and other fields of vital importance, between the Communist Party of China and Parti LEPEP of the Republic of Seychelles. For the third consecutive year exchanges between the two parties have entered into a decisive and new stage.
It is of historical political importance to note that the Communist Party of China has always given enormous significance to international exchanges. Its universal relationship building has almost always been a major part of its raison d’être and a vital component in the country’s wide-ranging international relations.
Within that spirit, Mr. Simon J. Gill, Central Committee Member and Director of Party School was part of a high-level delegation consisting of 13 other representatives of divers professional background and political orientation, from Europe, Asia, Latin America, Caribbean and Africa.
Various lectures and seminar type dialogues and exchange of views on various subjects of national and international significance were concluded, starting from the capital city Beijing, Shandong Province and Qingdao.
During one of the various lectures delivered from very high profile CPC Party Leaders, University Professors, etc, it was emphasized that as early as 2011, China has already established a workable and fraternal relationship with more than 600 political parties and organizations in over 160 countries and regions. The compositions are divers, ranging from political parties in power, those out of power and some who were members of a coalition. Of particular political importance is the fact that China does have workable relationship with parties in countries with which formal diplomatic relations are yet to be established.
Exchanges proved one peculiar phenomenon, in respect of the exceptional wide-ranging background of the organizations which range from Communist parties, workers’ parties, socialist parties, labor parties, liberal parties, people’s parties and conservative parties; some in developed countries like Japan and those in Europe, and some in developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
As Professor, School of International Studies Director, Center for Chinese and Global Affairs, Peking University emphasized in one of the best dispensed lectures, when he stated that during the three distinctive historical periods of Chinese revolution, construction and reform, the international projection, and or, dimension of the work of the CPC has been one of the fundamental sources of gaining rich experiences and subsequently, this has consistently enable the Party to achieve great victory in the pursuit of it historical mission and vision for the Chinese population.
Parti LEPEP and its predecessors SPUP, SPPF have never kept secret its relationship with the CPC, thus, way back in 1971, it came to light that SPUP, leading the fight for achieving full independence, did make it clear that it does share the mission and vision of the Chinese leadership, given that such a position is essence a just cause worth sustaining given that it aims towards the emancipation of mankind from abject poverty and embrace their full potential, thus, the realization of each and everyone’s dream, that of leaving in dignity, peace and harmony!
Amongst the very fruitful and educative sessions which took place, the highlights of the visit, while in Beijing was marked by a meeting with the Chinese vice Premier.
Official visit to the CPC Party School and the building-up of the collaborative exchanges were amongst various topics entertained. The governing philosophies of China’s new central collective leadership were exposed and its fundamentals’ can undoubtedly be creatively used to further accelerate and improve our share party-building processes.
