Four decades of service

Avis Car Hire, one of the most reputable in the business, was set up the following year, after Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, officially opened the Seychelles International Airport in 1972. Kaven Parcou and Norman Esselmont, the gentlemen who set up the Avis Car Hire operation in Seychelles, have worked very hard during the past 40 years and managed to make Avis popular and reliable. At the short ceremony marking the anniversary was Mr. Thierry Domballe, the Regional Director of Avis for Africa and the Indian Ocean whose visit was to show Avis’ appreciation of the success it continues to make in Seychelles. 
Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, Elsia Grandcourt the CEO of the Tourism Board and Sherin Naiken, the PS for Tourism were all present when Mr. Domballe, presented the 40th Anniversary Plaque to Kaven Parcou at the offices of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture at the National Cultural Center in Victoria.
Minister St. Ange congratulated Avis for their success and durability in the business. He said that Avis should be proud to have had someone like Kaven Parcou to keep the flag of Avis flying in Seychelles with pride.
