Air Mauritius Sunday received the second Airbus 350-900 as part of its fleet renewal programme. The “Pieter Both” named after the island’s second highest mountain peak, joins “Le Morne Brabant” which arrived last month.

The new jet arrived from Paris Charles de Gaulle with 101 passengers and 3.5 tons of medicine as cargo, destined for the sick of Madagascar.
The “Pieter Both” took 10 hours 45 minutes from Paris to Mauritius. It shall mostly operate on the Paris route, but may occasionally fly to London and South Africa.
Air Mauritius has a fleet of 14 jets, and plans to renew eight of them with the new Airbus A350-900 by 2023.
