‘GDP wise-Seychelles tops list of Africa’s richest country’

Nou ganny dir ki ‘A new list of the top ten richest countries in Africa has been published this week and Seychelles sits at the top. While the small islands in the middle of the Indian Ocean may not be rich in terms of natural resources, in terms of Gross Domestic Product per capita, which is commonly known as GDP per capita, Seychelles tops all the 54 African states….With our small population our GDP calculated at $25,229 and this high figure has meant that Seychelles has been elevated from a middle income to a high income country. While many will be applauding themselves for this ranking, the citizens of this country are not necessarily enjoying this richness.’
Sa i vre ‘Zanmi pros mon bann zanmi’ akoz ou dir nou ankor ki ‘Furthermore in 2015 another study conducted by NBS to estimate the poverty level in the country showed that nearly 40% of the population was living below the poverty line.” Well, well ‘Zanmi pros mon bann zanmi’, sa i rezon akoz nou travayer i pey 0% income tax lo en saler mwens ki SR10000/- par mwan. Sa i osi rezon pour en 13 mwan saler!
Nou tou nou annan sa devwar ek responsabilite pour sa lalit kree larises e apre distribye larises. Dan nou zoli pti paradi nou tou nou merit en meyer kondisyon lavi !

‘Grand Police hotel; a new petition?’

‘Kouzen Lami’ i dir nou ki ‘Police Bay is not only wilderness but with its wetland teemed with indigenous species of flora and fauna both on land and in water, it is a natural asset not only for tourists and Seychellois alike but has the potential to be a world heritage site.
For years it has been a meccah for environmentalists and many are heartbroken to think of the area being transformed into a five star resort.
As Seychellois, we have a choice. Either we allow government to renegotiate the extent to which they want the place spoilt or we decide to allow this vestige of our flora and fauna to our next generation. It is a choice we all have to make.’
This is the multi-million dollar question at a time that we are chasing multi-million dollar investments! Larealite ‘Kouzen Lami’ se ki nou lanvironnman politik ostil pe fer bann envestiser perdi zentere avek nou pei.
Politics aside, nou bezwen konpran en keksoz byen kler -  Nou lekonomi i pti ; Nou lekonomi i frazil ; Nou senpleman bezwen lenvestisman etranze, and in a big way. Our local capital market is simply too small and restricted for investments and continued development of our country!

“Number one in your life’s blueprint should be a deep belief in your own dignity, your own worth, and your own somebodiness. Don’t allow anybody to make you feel that you are nobody. Always feel that you count. Always feel that you have worth. And always feel that your life has ultimate significance.”

Martin Luther King

“We the people shall rise up to the occasion in spite of all the odds! We are not down and out … don’t dare make that mistake!”
